September 2007

Over Labor Day weekend we took a trip to San Antonio with our friends Steve, Jennifer, Maddie and Preston. At lunch we ate at a restaurant along the riverwalk and had a great time.

As you can see, you can take Kayci out in public (we weren't in a bar - I swear), but you just can't take the sassy out of the Kayci.

We took a boat ride on the Riverwalk during our trip to San Antonio. Kayci loved it, even though she was a little upset that they wouldn't let her drive the boat.

One evening we decided to have a family picnic out at Somerville Lake. We took our bikes along and took a nice evening bike ride.

That's a new bike Kayci is riding. She got a new one after she literally rode one of the wheels off her old bike.

I wish this photo hadn't turned out blurry because it's a great shot. Even though it's out of focus, you can see that Kayci is really happy about her bike ride and her new bike.

It was hot that evening! Kristi said "I look so rough in that picture," but the heat didn't bother us - we were all excited because she was starting to show a baby Lucky. Talking to baby Lucky is Kayci's new favorite thing to do. She's going to be a great big sister!

Kayci decided that she wanted to make sugar cookies with sprinkles, and what Kayci wants, Kayci gets (especilly if it involves baked goods and Mommy in her first trimester.)

Kayci rolled the dough herself, cut the shapes and then loaded ech cookie down with about six pounds of colored sprinkles.

This was taken on Kayci's first day of preschool. It was her first "first day of school" in the fall, and she was really excited. She loves her school and her class, even though she gets grumpy because the teacher won't let Kayci teach.

This is Kayci and her teacher, Ms. Allison. Kayci loves her class and Ms. Allison impressed Kristi, so you know she must be good.

Even though it's a little premature for Halloween, Kayci looked really cute in and enjoyed wearing her new Halloween clothes.

Sweet, indeed.
