Kayci's Room - January 2007

I love this photo because it's of my girls being silly. It's not posed. They're obviously just having fun (and Kayci is being Kayci – i.e. a little bossy). That, and look at all that beautiful hair!
This is a great photo of Kristi and Kayci in a candid moment when they were playing. These are the kind of moments that I try to capture beacuse this is how they really look every day- not posed, not fake. They are both obviously having a great time with each other, and this is what I think about when I picture our family time.
This image was inspired by a photo of Kristi's friend Mandy, her daughter Gracie and husband Shane walking hand in hand. We took several of these in both directions, some with the whole family. But this is my favorite. The candid, real moments are the ones I love to see and this is another one. I love that something off camera caught their attention. I was too far away to hear what they were talking about, but no doubt that Kayci was asking a question about something and Kristi was giving her a very real, yet Kristi answer.
